A beautiful soul lives forever….
In November of 2022, we lost Lisa Johnson to cancer. She was a great friend, one of the original supporters of Sober Sisters Recovery, and even served our mission as a board member. Below is a message from Lisa’s friend and SSR Executive Director, Moné Cassier:
On behalf of myself, the Board of Directors and the whole SSR recovery community, we would like to honor Lisa Marie Johnson. Lisa has served the SSR mission in a masterly fashion since 2016 and joined our Board of Directors in 2020. Lisa was here when we cleaned Malley Farm out and began the refurbishing. She served all the women that have recreated their lives here through the past almost 7 years.
Lisa drove women to doctor appointments and meetings. She was every resident’s favorite early morning reach out call… She cooked, cleaned, decorated and made sure our flower gardens were kept in tip top shape. I know that the SSR alumni have so many amazing memories to hold dear to their hearts.
Lisa, we know you are watching us here at “The Farm,” and keeping us all on point. We are blessed by knowing you. Thank you Lisa! xo #watchingforsigns
