In January of 2016, our cofounder and executive director, Moné Cassier trained and ran her second half marathon to raise seed money for Sober Sisters Recovery. The money raised at this fundraiser would help refurbish the farmhouse that would become Sober Sisters Recovery at Malley Farm.
At mile 4, Tim Churchard from the Unlimited Possibilities Foundation called and informed Moné that they would be making a sizable donation to her run.
Not only was it moment of grace (Moné took a photo to remember the moment), it also put a spring in her step and helped her keep going!
